With flexible schedules, cool classrooms, and classes for all ages and levels of experience, Danforth Art makes it easy to fit in time for creativity and art-making all summer long! We’re still registering for late summer offerings! Learn about classes and workshops for adults, summer intensives for teens (grades 9-12), and Summer Arts for children (grades 1-8).

A Celebration of Picture Book Illustration

On view through September 20, Picture This! is Danforth Art’s annual juried exhibition of children’s book illustration. The innovative and well-crafted original art work selected for Picture This! 2015 encompasses all genres, media and level of expertise, showcasing a wide variety of artistic styles. Related self-guided activities for families are available in three languages.

Looking Forward to Fall

Visit Danforth Art Museum this fall and you’ll enjoy exceptional contemporary photography in the New England Photography Biennial, as well as the joyful landscapes of Jason Berger and the moving, wartime still-life montages of Leslie Starobin. In Danforth Art School, you’ll discover creative classes and wonderful workshops—from drawing, painting, and clay foundations for beginners to intermediate and advanced offerings on special topics.
