About the Exhibition

This work speaks of suspended time and the subjective realities of this suspended place where time moves infinitesimally. For a fraction of a moment perceptions are heightened. Then there is the first breath of release and time and our surroundings flow on. Within the format of a scroll, of a filmstrip, of a visual song cycle, the fluid and mutable identity of water and clouds parallel and juxtapose the structures of music, timetables and the mapping of activities. In a place between art and science, the fluid and the immutable, the intuitive and the concrete, the east and the west, the creations of nature and the creations of man, I search for intersections and a balance between seeming polarities.
