Summer Arts (Children)

Weeklong, full-day sessions for children in or entering Grades K-8
June 25-August 24, 2018

Join us this summer as we embark on an artistic exploration of global cultures and locations with the theme “Around the World”. This year, Danforth Art is excited to bring Summer Arts to the campus of Framingham State University!

Each week will bring a new set of ideas to spark imaginations as children are immersed in learning important skills and concepts related to the wonderful world of art. Students in Grades K-5 will be inspired by clever weekly themes, and students in Grades 6-8 will enjoy classes designed around specific artistic materials and methods. Through painting, drawing, collage, printmaking and sculpture, students will learn about scale, color, value, shape, texture and line- the foundations of art-and will go home with a portfolio of amazing artwork. For High School students in grades 9-12, see Teen art class page for more information.
