Discover all that this museum and school has to offer you year-round during our Fall Open House. Join us for docent-led talks, studio art demonstrations, hands-on art-making, and much more. Open House activities are available for both children and adults. Register for Fall Classes in person at our Open House for fabulous one-day-only deals*! Danforth Art School Staff and Faculty will be on hand to answer questions about our offerings and to help you register for a class that best suits your interest and experience.

*One-day deals cannot be combined with other discounts or offers.

      Express Talks: Short, docent-led discussions of one work of art on view in The Expressive Voice:
        Brought to Light

             2:45pm: Gerry Bergstein, Effort at Speech
             3:15pm: Hyman Bloom, Skeleton in a Red Dress

      Take a Closer Look Family Guide: Self-guided activity that encourages families to look closely and
        answer fun questions about art on view.

      Moody Mural: A collaborative art project inspired by the emotionally charged artwork on view in
        fall exhibitions.

In Our Studio Art School

      Demonstrations by Danforth Art School Faculty
            Botanical Watercolor with Catherine Carter
            Oil Painting with Laraine Armenti

      Oil Pastel: Draw inspiration from works exhibited in The Expressive Voice: Brought to Light,
              painting and drawing in oil pastels.

      Clothed Figure Drawing: Take part in a drawing class, where you can draw the clothed figure
              from a live model. This drop-in activity is a great way to preview a Danforth Art studio art class
              and ask questions about additional offerings.
