Children's and Teen Art Classes

Nurture your child’s creative curiosity and self-expression through art and art-making. In Danforth Art’s studio art classes, children will develop an understanding of the elements and principles of art, and will learn skills and techniques in drawing, painting, and sculpture using a variety of 2D and 3D materials. Students at all levels keep a portfolio of work, collecting process as well as finished pieces, to take home at the conclusion of the session. Family members are invited to an informal exhibition of student work on the last class day. All materials are provided.

ABOUT CLASS/GRADE LEVELS: We understand that children vary in their development widely from grade to grade. We offer afterschool and Saturday classes open to a grade range so parents/guardians may select which class will best align with their child’s developmental level. If you need assistance, please call the School Office at 508-620-0937 X 119 or email us at school (at) danforthart.org.

Teen Classes: Danforth Art offers studio art classes designed for high school students (Grades 9–12) who wish to explore art concepts, materials, and techniques in a creative art school environment, or those interested in creating work for college application portfolios.

Spring Session Teen Classes are listed below. Motivated and responsible teens may also register for adult classes. Please contact the School office at 508-620-0937 x 119 or school (at) danforthart.org to learn more.

Please note: High School classes require a supply list. Please click on the “Supply List” within the class description to view supplies required for the class.
