ABOUT EXHIBITIONS/PROGRAMS CLASSES

Studio Art Classes for Adults

Levels of Study: We offer classes in five levels in different media to make it easier for you to select the appropriate level of study. Students may remain in any level for as long as they would like; instructors will adjust lessons to accommodate new and returning students.
Beginning classes are for people who may have never taken an art class before; instructors offer entry level lesson. We have designed these classes so that students do not have to purchase any supplies ahead of time- the instructor will explain materials on the first day.
Some students may remain in beginning level for two or more sessions depending on their comfort level.
Foundations classes are for those who have taken one or more beginning level classes; instructors offer lessons which build off beginning level concepts. Again, students may remain in this level for many sessions.
Advanced and Independent classes are for those who would like instruction as more individualized critique to help develop specific personal artistic goals.
Regarding Supplies for Classes: Our instructors have put together lists of supplies for their classes which they feel will help students to accomplish the goals of the lessons. These are meant to be suggested lists, not required. Click on "supply list" next to the class to print a PDF of suggested supplies.
Senior Discounts: Qualifying Senior citizens (aged 65 and older) receive 10% off all classes. Please follow instructions on registration pages to receive discount.
